Stay Here: Washington State Islands ๐๏ธ
We ventured out a bit further this week and found absolute gems on the islands along the coast of Washington State. Ophelia's talented friend Daisy introduced her to these quaint islands and fun fact: there are over 170 of them! A few popular ones include San Juan Island, Orcas Island (featured in NYT's 52 Places in 2019), and Lopez Island. We've also heard amazing things about Whidbey Island, which is closer to Seattle in Puget Sound. Ophelia's coworker told her that this a frequent weekend getaway spot for Seattleites, but as native Californians, this spot seems extra special and not too far out of reach!

One of our incredible subscribers Nina gave us this rec and said she loved her stay here. This historic inn was redesigned by Eric Cheong (who has designed for Ace Hotels and Roman and Williams). We love the modern furniture accents combined with the log cabin rustic vibes.
Captain Whidbey's co-owners and brothers, Matt and Mike French, also renovated a Joshua Tree motel. For a few fun itinerary suggestions, Vogue did a great feature on Captain Whidbey a few years ago.

The natural light in this home is insane. We love how the wooden accents on the exterior seamlessly translate to the interior of the house. This house knows what it means to truly connect with nature~

Doesn't this look like such a beautiful spot for a soak?

Dwell CEO Zach Klein listed Beaver Brook a few weeks ago, a gorgeous home on 50 acres in upstate NY. We're in awe that they built this haven only 2 hours outside of NYC.
Michelle thinks these Goober Candles are the cutest things ever and would make the best housewarming gifts (shoutout to Amy for showing Ophelia these).
Ophelia and her friends completed this gradient puzzle this past weekend on a little fourth of July getaway. One of Ophelia's college friends knows the brilliant designer behind it, Bryce Wilner.
