Stay Here: Los Angeles 🌴
Michelle calls Los Angeles her home (secondary only to her first love, the Bay Area) and loves it here! With the unbelievable abundance of amazing food right outside her door, amazing museums, beaches, and nightlife, you really never run of things to do and see in this city. Ophelia has visited many times, and each time has come with a list of new stores to visit and eateries to try.

Famed American interior designer, Kelly Wearstler (who also designed the San Francisco Proper), designed the gorgeous Santa Monica Proper. We love the eclectic style and vintage pieces.
These earth tones and textures! These beds feature a "radius headboard that reminded [Wearstler] of a sunset in California."
How unbelievable is this bathroom?

Honorable mentions
This gorgeous art deco hotel in Westwood Village (from $195/night).
A hotel with a natural, beachy Southern Californian vibe (from $148/night).
This architectural retreat atop Mount Washington (from $305/night, sleeps 5).
This rock 'n roll-inspired boutique hotel is also a bar, venue, and recording studio (from $190/night).
Do this
There is no shortage of Korean BBQ options in LA. Michelle recently went to Mun, an upscale KBBQ restaurant, and loved the attention to detail from the food to the interior. It's not all you can eat, but it’s a good option if you're looking for quality > quantity.
Go on an architectural tour of LA. Visit the Stahl House (more history on Vanity Fair here), a stunning, modernist, architectural gem. Tours start at $35 per person (for two). Ophelia has also visited the Neutra VDL House ($15 per person) with our bestie Rachel and has the Eames House exterior tour on her list ($30 per person).
Rosaline is a Peruvian-inspired restaurant with some amazing paella and lomo saltado.
You can't miss out on Courage Bagels (this NY Times article famously ruffled a lot of feathers when they named West Coast bagels better than NY's) but be prepared to wait a little.
Walk and shop around The Row DTLA, and stop by Smorgasburg (every Sunday) for some delicious food truck food.
