Stay Here: Joshua Tree ποΈ
Ophelia's been freezing up in San Francisco lately β did you see that SF was colder than Anchorage, Alaska last week? The famous Mark Twain quip "the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco" rings true, so she's been dreaming of hot desert getaways. Joshua Tree is particularly special to us β we had Michelle's bachelorette party in Joshua Tree a few summers back, and it was such a sweet and relaxing time in the desert. Though it's primarily known for its crooked/cute-looking Joshua Trees (aka Yucca Brevifolias), Joshua Tree is a hot spot for Airbnbs and we're in awe of the uniquely designed homes here. Whether you're going to climb some massive rocks in Joshua Tree National Park or want to get your tan on by the pool, you really can't have a bad vacation here. We hope these homes give you a taste of the unique desert living experience~

A Vancouver Island-based couple (Kelly & Bryce) renovated this home in the winter of 2018, according to this feature in Martha Stewart Living.
The house's interior walls are made from "earthen plaster mixed from local sand, clay, and fine-chopped straw, which appears as little cold flecks." No better place to truly become one with nature!
Aren't these Bauhaus-style chairs in the kitchen gorgeous?
It can definitely get chilly in Joshua Tree, especially during winter nights, and this fireplace is the perfect place to cozy up while stargazing.

The exterior of this place is absolutely stunning. We could spend hours outside watching the shadows move across the house.
We love how the zebra stripe theme carries out to the interior of the house and how every detail is accounted for.
